What does WEEE stand for? WEEE is
the acronym that represents the Waste Electrical and Electronic
Equipment Directive.

Can you take scrap and non-working IT
hardware? Yes. We can take all of your non-working hardware
away and recycle it for you. We will also deal with the relevant
paperwork for you so there is even less for you to do. Just contact us
and we can arrange collection within a few days.

When will WEEE come into force within the UK?
The directive has been looked at many times by our government but
adoption within the UK has been put back until 2007.

Should we bother worrying about this yet?
Well the answer is simple, yes. This legislation is coming and in the
long run will benefit us all by reducing costs through re-usability
and reducing the amount of Arsenic, Lead and Cadmium to name but a few
affecting our environment.

Can you wipe data from all my drives?
Yes we can. We have software that will wipe your data to government
standards. When this process has been completed we will provide you
with a certificate to that effect for your asset records.

Do you have any alternative solutions to
wiping my disks? If you would prefer we can offer to disable
your hard drives in a number of ways. They can be mechanically punched
to render them inoperable or alternatively they can be shredded or
reduced to powder.

Can you help with all IT hardware?
We are equipped to help with all forms of IT and Telecommunications
equipment. We can also help with copiers, plotters and scanners.

What does asset management mean? We
can help you manage the life and productivity of your business assets
from cradle to grave. This can be from sourcing to installation to
disposal. This can be offered as a 'one off' or on a rolling contract
for an agreed term.

Can you help with office relocation and
refurbishment? Our team is able to help you relocate your
hardware systems either to new premises or within your existing. This
can include all cabling and network points. We can also help dispose
of all redundant office furniture for re-use in the business start up
sector.

I have accidentally wiped my data, can you
help recover it? We do offer a data recovery service but have
to stress that this is not a guaranteed service. We would ask for the
drive to be assessed for viability and then we would forward an
estimate of cost. Please contact
us to discuss this service.

Will you pay me for my old computer?
This depends on the age, condition and potential re-sale value of the
unit.

Can you audit my computer network?
We offer a service that will audit your whole network identifying each
machine and compiling the software licences on each one. We can also
produce a resource that will catalogue all you need to know about your
IT infrastructure just in case the IT whizz is out the day it all
falls over.

Can you offer IT Support? This can
be provided on a one off basis or as a rolling contract per server and
or per PC. We do normally refer you to one of our technical partners
but we are able to give you sound advice on what you may need to
ensure your efficiency and 'Business as usual'.

Can I recycle my old mobile 'phone with you?
We can recycle mobile telephones for you but to assure the best value
for our charities they will need to be in reasonable condition with
the charger and battery.

Can I recycle my old print cartridges with
you? Yes certainly. We endeavour at all times to have these
recycled in an environmentally friendly way using our partner Green
Cartridges. A donation will be made to our charitable fund.
